As they do each year, DJ Intelligence, a cloud-based event booking, planning, and management system for event professionals, has compiled a lists of client song requests made through their music request system at events around the world during 2019.
DJs are purveyors of music, and as is often the case for Mobile DJs, filling taking song requests from clients and patrons is part of the job.
DJ Intelligence offers a song request system as part of their platform, and they note the 2019 list of top requested songs was “Compiled by analyzing millions of song requests made through the DJ Intelligence music request system at weddings and parties around the world, this is the most accurate representation of what songs are being requested and played at live events.”
Whether or not you question the accuracy and how much the list of top requested songs deviates from your own experience, ‘millions’ of requests ain’t something to sneeze at.
There are are sizable number new songs on the 2019 chart that weren’t present on the previous years edition, but timeless event maintstay’s such as Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” are still chart-toppers.
While it’s 2019 and hot new tracks will make their way on to next years chart, the 2019 most requested list provide great insight for Mobile DJs. Make sure you have these tracks in your library.
