The Most Requested Songs Of 2016 According To DJ Intelligence

DJ Intelligence has compiled various lists of client song requests made through their music request system at weddings and parties around the world during 2016, check out the links below.

When you boil it all down, a DJ is a purveyor of music — and in the case of Mobile and Wedding DJs filling client requests is a big part of the job.

DJ Intelligence offers a song request system as part of their platform, and they proudly note their system is used by mobile jocks throughout the globe. Their request system tracks all client requests during the year and at years end they compile various charts – ranging from the “Top 200 Most Requested Songs”, to specific requests such as “Top 50 Most Requested First Dances” and “Top 50 Most Requested Wedding Party Dances”.  They have also provided a list of the “Top 100 Most Requested Songs Of The 2010’s” (and previous decades).

There are are great number new songs on the 2017 DJ Intelligence charts that weren’t present on the 2015 editions, but the timeless usual suspects such as B52’s ‘Love Shack’ and Cupid’s ‘Cupid Shuffle’ still have a strong foothold on the dance floor.

While it’s 2017 and freshly released tracks will make their way on to next years charts, the 2016 most requested song lists provide great insight for Mobile and Wedding DJs. Make sure you have these tracks in your library. If you don’t subscribe to a record pool service, or you need songs released prior to two years ago (most record pool services need to roll off releases after two years) you can jump on the Pulselocker bandwagon like many DEX 3 and DEX 3 RE DJs have. One thing is certain after reviewing the charts, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’s ‘Uptown Funk’ just killed it, topping more than one list — but I bet I didn’t have to tell you that!
