The 200 Most Requested Songs Of 2018-2019 According To DJ Intelligence
As they have each June over the last few years, DJ Intelligence has just released their compiled list of the top 200 most requested songs over the last year. The list is compiled based on client song requests made through their music request system that’s used at weddings and events throughout the world.
DJ Intelligence offers a song request system as part of their subscription platform that’s evidently used by mobile DJs all over the world (although it seems most of their customers are based in the United States based on the song selections). Their request system tracks all client requests throughout the year and then they compile song lists such as the “Top 200 Most Requested Songs”, “Top 50 Most Requested First Dances” and “Top 50 Most Requested Wedding Party Dances”.
As DJs we’re master selectors of music, reading the dancefloor and selecting just the right track to mix in and keep them dancing. It’s always interesting to see what other DJs are playing the most out there and compare DJ Intelligence’s charts with our own DJ software’s history list (such as the “History” that’s automatically logged in DEX 3).
We last posted the list of the top 200 most requested songs in 2016 and the chart topper was Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’s ‘Uptown Funk’ — who also logs the top spot in this years iteration. Just shows you that as much as things change and evolve for us DJs, they stay the same!
(If you’re missing any of these top played tracks from your library and are a DEX 3 DJ, try the new SoundCloud Go+ integrated music subscription on for size)
