Version 1.6.0.2 of LYRX karaoke software is ready for download!

The recently released 1.6 version LYRX, with macOS Catalina support, has received a number of updates, fixes and improvements over the last couple of weeks — thanks in large part to our loyal customers.

You can test software all you want internally, and iron out issues with your beta team, but once you get a major update like 1.6 out to the masses you tend to find a few new and annoying hidden niggles.

Not only does the free 1.6.0.2 LYRX update address the reported problems, we were able to apply extensive under-the-hood optimizations and performance improvements. The updates should be noticeable, to the extent your MAC or PC will run cooler than with prior versions.

A new option is also included with the update: “Use max framerate for video/graphics”. Customers with quality graphics cards and HD quality videos will appreciate the smoothest graphics output yet.

We suggest updating to the 1.6.0.2 immediately. As always, download from the link below and install with your existing version closed to update (all your settings/data will remain intact).

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you receive this warning “lyrx-v1.6.0.2-installer_mac.pkg can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. this software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information” when installing to macOS Catalina please follow the steps on Apple’s website to install LYRX.

    I continue to receive this message for the last 3 updates to Lyrx. I don’t have Catilina I have High Sierra 10.13.6, I have a 1tb hard drive. Please help.

      Hello Darryl, this issue is that you need macOS 10.14 or higher in order to run the new version. This is what I previously responded to Ian with: The new versions (including the 1.6.0.1 release) will require macOS 10.14 or higher. Unfortunately this is necessary due to all the updates required to support Catalina. It’s a major change to the graphics API and backwards compatibility has consequently suffered.
