INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER KARAOKE AND KARAOKE SOFTWARE

Professional Karaoke software or otherwise digital based karaoke show hosting software solutions, have been around for more than a decade. 

PCDJ created one of the worlds first professional karaoke applications in PCDJ KJ VRM (2002), which put us on the map as a major karaoke software player in the entertainment software space.  However, we regularly hear from many professional KJs that are still using those circular plastic CDG thingy's (we'd like you to be able to use them as drink coasters), but with many looking to finally make the leap to a digital karaoke rig.  

Hosting Karaoke and "karaoke night" are as popular as ever, which I think can be attributed to, at least in part, due to the selection of singing contest shows on TV.  The Voice, X-Factor, American Idol to name a few of the most watched.   I created our "Introduction To Computer Karaoke And Karaoke Software" live webinar presentation close to 2 years ago.  My intention was to outline the basics of using a computer to host karaoke shows so KJs can learn the terminology and essential required gear, including file types (What's an MP3+G?).
