Video Tutorial | Using Autocue And How To Set Mix In And Out Points For Automix
DEX 3.4 (DJ And VJ Software) is now available for download and comes equipped with a revamped autocue feature and the ability to reset mix in and out cue points.
The video tutorial below will walk you through how autocue works, and how you can set in and out cue points for automix.
WHAT IS AUTOCUE?
Autocue is enabled by default (autocue can be disabled in options) in DEX 3.4 and will automatically trim the silence (if present) from the start and ends of all your audio, music video and karaoke files.
This means when you load a track to one of the four available decks in DEX 3 and click play, your music will start instantly with zero “dead air“. DEX 3.4 displays your autocue points along the track timeline as red “flags” labeled “in” and “out“. You can reset these cue points by simply right-clicking on the “in” or “out” buttons below each deck, and then reset them as you see fit.
The wonderful thing about the revamped autocue feature is that the autocue points will be used as mix points for automix. Trim the long intro or outtro using the new autocue mix points for more seamless transitions between tracks when using automix.
