DJ Controllers | Pioneer DJ DDJ-SR2 Now DEX 3 DJ Software Supported

Pioneer DDJ-SR2 now DEX 3 supported

The Pioneer DJ DDJ-SR2 is now DEX 3 and DEX 3 RE DJ mixing software supported (Download MAP below).

The powerful 2-channel DDJ-SR2 DJ controller from Pioneer DJ is trimmed down and more compact than some of the company’s flagship models, but is fortunately equipped with many of the same loved functions and controls, including the large aluminum jog wheels and integrated performance pads.

Now that we’ve released a custom map (available below), DEX 3 and DEX 3 RE DJ software users can enjoy plug-and-play support with the DDJ-SR2 — which we feel is a great option for mobile and club DJ’s that need a robust selection of features for audio or video mixing at a price below the top tier DJ controllers. The DDJ-SR2 is being sold for $599 (USD) by most online DJ equipment retailers.

Here’s a look at some of the key features included with the DDJ-SR2:

Performance Pads
Large rubber performance pads located below the big jog wheel provide hot cue and sampler functions. Each soft-touch rubber pad illuminates in blue to enable users to tap the pads quickly for each effect, with the output volume varying depending on the strength of each tap.

Big Jog Wheels
The DDJ-SR2 features two large jog wheels for precise scratching and mixing capabilities. The resistance for each jog wheel was fined tuned to provide users with the best feel and the shortest latency.

2-Channel Mixer
The built-in 2-channel mixer on the DDJ-SR2 is ideal for scratch performances. The mixer can also be used with four decks using the deck select buttons located on each side of the controller. In addition, the unit features a cross fader reverse switch to enable the left and right decks to be controlled from opposite sides.

Other notable DDJ-SR2 features:

  • 2-channel DJ controller designed for use with Serato DJ
  • Compact size
  • Large brushed-aluminum, touch-capacitive jog wheels
  • Onboard effects and rubber performance pads
  • Visual beat indicator
