Version 3.9.0.10 for all versions of DEX 3 is ready for download!
DEX 3 (pro), DEX 3 RE (Red Edition), and DEX 3 LE (Free DJ Software) were all updated today, December 12, 2017, and include a smattering of new features and a slew of performance optimizations and fixes. To say our development team needs to give their fingers rest this holiday season is a massive understatement — this is the third release this month for DEX 3 (pro)!
Read all the release notes below to see what’s new, improved, and fixed in version 3.9.0.10 for all three versions of our best DJ mixing programs to date. One major improvement to note is DEX 3 RE and DEX 3 LE now have 64bit Windows editions in addition to the usual 32bit (x86) release, just like DEX 3 (pro). While prior versions were optimized for the 64bit environment, true 64bit support means better resource management which equals better overall performance — from the audio engine to on-screen graphics rendering.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you currently have a 32bit version of DEX 3 (pro), DEX 3 RE, or DEX 3 LE be sure to un-install it first before installing the new 64bit version. Your playlists, settings, and data will all remain intact when doing so. Otherwise, install the new release directly over-top your existing version (make sure the existing installed version is closed)
Here’s what’s new changed, and fixed in version 3.9.0.10 (for all three DEX 3 editions):
DEX 3 Pro (changes since version 3.9.0.9)
- Removed skin action “cue_pfl_mix”; removed controller script action “setCuePflMix”;
- EQ ranges adjusted for better tweaking: -36..+6dB for low/mid and -36..+9dB for high, gain -12..+12dB; Microphone EQs -36..+12dB for low/mid/high, gain -18..+18dB;
- Removed smaller resolutions video recording options – only HD/full-HD available
- Fixed Finder/Explorer (inside the Browser section) to show folders/files sorted alphabetically; hide system/hidden folders/files/volumes/disks; hard/soft symbolic links (aka Symlinks) work OK;
- Fixed crash when loading tracks with very low sample rate (22kHz or lower)
- Small bug fixes and performance improvements
DEX 3 RE (changes since 3.9.0.7)
- Added resizing of browser and lists
- Skins: added actions: img_splitter_browser, img_splitter_list; added “issplitter” attribute to image (boolean)
- 64-bit Windows version (in addition to the usual 32-bit release)
- Right-click on the LOAD button to unload the deck
- Graphics/interface rendering improvements in Windows
- New controllers supported: Numark DJ2GO 2 and Numark NS6II
- Fixed Analyze and Edit File Info menu options missing
- Fixed memory leaks related to karaoke singers list
- The headphone cueing system now works exactl how it works in DEX 3 (pro)
